Class Time/Dates:
7–10pm on Wednesdays; January 11, 18, 25, February 1, 8, 15.
Performances 6pm February 12 and 19
Schedule: 6 sessions; once a week for six weeks, and two performances
Class size: 10 students maximum
Class length: 3 hours (18 hours total, excluding performances)

An old favorite of BATS Improv, Spontaneous Broadway is an improvised musical extravaganza! Work with an ensemble of 10 advanced students to learn the ins and outs of the Spontaneous Broadway format. This six-week performance workshop will train individual skills—variety, duets, solos, song styles, back-up singing, finding the ending, and weaving songs into simple long-form stories—to prepare you for two full-length performances on the Bayfront stage. Barbara Scott and J. Raoul Brody team up to teach this series. They will teach two sessions jointly and teach the others individually to focus more intently on particular skills.
PREREQUISITE: Students who wish to enroll in this class must have vocal experience (to be ok'd by Joshua or Barbara, or approved via audition) and long-form experience. Contact regina@improv.org
BATS Improv Class Refund Policy:
Your class tuition includes a non-refundable deposit equal to 20% of your payment.
If you have registered for a class and decide you want to drop that class AT LEAST 14 DAYS BEFORE THE FIRST CLASS SESSION, you may choose to receive a refund for the amount of the class minus your non-refundable deposit OR you may choose to reapply your payment IN FULL to another BATS class.
Classes dropped 4-13 days before the start of the class are not eligible for the re-application of full payment to another class. You may either reapply your payment (minus the applicable deposit) or receive a partial refund. This option is not available for those enrolled in summer intensives or youth/teen camps.
Regular classes/workshops dropped within 72 hours of the first class session, or summer intensives and youth/teen camps dropped within two weeks of the first session, are not eligible for either re-application or any refund.
